Couples’ spa programmes offer a pause that slows down shared time. But “couples’ massage” means more than simply lying side by side in the same room — planning involves a few details.
Couples’ massage vs couples’ hammam
A couples’ massage means two guests receiving simultaneous treatments from two separate therapists in the same room. A couples’ hammam means the hammam section is reserved for the two of you, with the scrub and foam stages performed side by side. Packages combining both are also available.
Can you choose different massage styles?
Yes. In a couples’ massage each guest chooses their own. One of you can have deep tissue while the other has aromatherapy, and pressure levels are set separately.
Planning the time
Couples’ programmes usually run between 60 and 120 minutes. Adding the spa areas and a rest break, the total visit can reach 2.5–3 hours. If you have a dinner reservation, factor that in.
Special occasion arrangements
For an anniversary, birthday or honeymoon you can request flowers, refreshments and a room set-up. These need to be mentioned in advance by phone so they can be prepared; last-minute requests are not always possible.
When to call
Couples’ rooms are limited in number and fill up early, especially at weekends. We recommend calling at least one or two days in advance.
A few small tips
Scheduling the programme for the evening makes it easy to finish with a quiet dinner. Leaving your phones in the room changes the experience noticeably. And of course: do not rush. The real value of these programmes is in time slowing down.
